個人履歷

1972年在日本東京大學完成理化學專業博士課程,同年進入日立制作所中央研究所,1994年任主管研究長,2000年任首席科學家,2003年授予Fellow稱號,2015年起擔任現職。

在中央研究所期間,致力于推進大氣壓電離質譜分析儀(APIMS)、電場離子化、矩陣SIMS、LC/MS(液相色譜質譜聯用儀)等研究,為生物材料電離新技術的發展做出了貢獻。特別是矩陣SIMS率先推動了基質輔助電離,并在后來的MALDI-TOF MS中得到應用。從1982年起推動領先世界的熒光DNA測序儀開發工作,推進了日本首例熒光式DNA測序儀的開發和商用。隨后,開發了一種高通量的毛細管凝膠陣列DNA測序儀,使人類基因組計劃得以早日完成。對科技的重大貢獻使其在《科學》的基因組特刊中被稱為“幕后英雄”,并被《商業周刊》譽為“亞洲之星”。其主導研發的儀器已作為醫療生物界的基本設備,在世界范圍內有了20年以上的廣泛使用。

神原博士還進行了基因圖譜分析法、基因變異測量技術、以SNPs為主的DNA變異分析方法、和使用磁珠的探針陣列技術等的開發工作。自2006年起,他作為日本文部科學省特定領域研究項目的代表,在單細胞分析技術方面進行了開創性的研究,并持續主持該領域的眾多國際會議。

2015年從日立退休后,神原博士出任了公司名譽Fellow,并繼續推進積極的技術理念探索。因為認識到生物組織的位置特性分析在組織機能分析中的重要作用,神原博士開創性地推進了生物顯微切片采集設備的開發和應用,并力求使用新型工具打造出類似于谷歌地球生命版的生物信息系統。

神原博士在論文、專利領域成果眾多(原創論文127篇、科學文章等54篇、專利申請300余項、專利授權100余項)。

自2002年起持續主持”Int Forum on Post Genome Technology”, 自2006年起持續主持”Int. Workshop on Approaches to Single Cell Analysis”,自2014年起持續主持”Africa Int. Biotechnology & Biomedical Conf.”等眾多的國際學術會議。
