個人履歷
1993年日本大阪大學電子工程系半導體物理專業碩士畢業,同年進入日立制作所,在中央研究所從事從事SH4微控制器和SH-Mobile等系統LSI的集成電路研發。2002年至2003年任美國斯坦福大學計算機科學客座研究員。2008年任日立中央研究所嵌入式系統基礎研究所嵌入式處理器研究部部長。2011年發起新一代計算項目并開始進行文理融合研究,并于2015年發表了量子啟發技術:CMOS退火技術。2013年至2015年任職于日立總部戰略企畫本部經營企畫室,擔任Lumada項目發起負責人。2016年任研究開發集團信息通信創新中心負責人。2017年任研究開發集團技術戰略室資深戰略專家。2018年任研究開發集團基礎研究中心主管研究長,并兼任日立京都大學實驗室負責人。除量子計算的研究開發以外,還領導網絡物理和人類系統相關的研究,旨在平衡AI與社會、環境、經濟價值的關系。2025年任現職。
工學博士,美國電氣電子工程師學會(IEEE)fellow,美國計算機協會(ACM)會員。
